Sunday may have been all about the Super Bowl, but there was also a “Super Proposal” for one lucky couple, courtesy of Ara Karkazian Jewelers.
Atwater-native Adolfo Morales entered into our “Super Proposal” contest and won.
He proposed to his high school sweetheart, Marlene Ramirez, right before he Big Game. The couple have been dating for six years.
Adolfo is a volunteer officer for the Atwater Police Department and Marlene is studying to become a school teacher.
“We’re both in pursuit of our careers and that’s obviously our number one priority,” Adolfo says.
To win a diamond engagement ring from Ara Karkazian Jewelers is a big help for the young couple.
Marlene said about the television spot that showed Adolfo proposing, “Seeing his face up there, oh man, I cannot explain the feeling, to see my man up there, you know, proposing to me.”
Karkazian said it was an honor to give the ring to a first responder.
The jeweler described the sparkler, “It shows off very nicely. The center stone is approximately three-quarters of a carat and there’s another half carat of diamonds going around the outside and down on the shank.”
Morales said he never thought the Super Bowl would play such a big part of his and Marlene’s lives. They said they wouldn’t have had it any other way.
“Both of our close families to be here, to experience it with us… and it was great,” Marlene concluded.
Congrats to Adolfo and Marlene.
