Assemblyman Patterson: Governor is dressing up old DMV in new clothes and new rhetoric

It’s not an overhaul but Governor Gavin Newsom’s strike team is revealing their plans to make the DMV a more pleasant experience for 24-million California drivers.

However, a host of lawmakers are questioning Newsom’s addition of $240-million to the state budget for the DMV without any major technological upgrades. Valley Assemblyman Jim Patterson is puzzled to why Newsom had a better vision when he was the Lt. governor and now he’s scaling back.
