FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – The Central California Koi Society hosted its 41st annual koi show Saturday.

Professionals on hand gave tips for koi enthusiasts. Vendors sold fish food and supplies, even koi-inspired art.

More than 30 exhibitors also brought their own fish to compete in the koi competition.

“They can get very large, and they come in all different sizes and varieties, and you can basically enjoy some living art,” says Richele Kleiser, president of the Central California Koi Society.

Some of those fish are up to 36 inches long.

The society is donating some of the proceeds to the Shinzen Friendship Garden at Woodward Park.

There’s free admission to the garden if you check out the koi show on its last day, Sunday.

It’s open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
