It’s your chance to get some delicious Girl Scout cookies. Starting Friday 22nd through Sunday the 24th the Girl Scouts of Central California South will be celebrating National Girl Scout cookie weekend.
The local troops will be partnering with eateries in Fresno, Clovis, Visalia and Bakersfield. The businesses will create Girl Scout inspired treats nd the scouts will set up cookie booths in front of selected locations.
According to organizers the weekend celebrates the ‘entrepreneurial program that has sparked the success of millions of women’.
“It’s just really important that we get the word out about our girls’ cookies. All the proceeds from the cookies stay local and the girls are able to do some really cool community service events with those funds,” said Gina De Young, a Girl Scouts marketing and communications specialist.
Some of the cookie spots in Fresno include Ampersand ice cream, Batter Up Pancakes, Quesadilla Gorilla and Frosted Cakery. In Clovis there’s Two Cities Coffee Roasters and Wafflicious. And in Visalia there’s Goodies Cookies.
