Lawmakers finally seem to be close to an agreement on a new farm bill

By all accounts, lawmakers finally seem to be close to an agreement on a new farm bill.  The old Farm Bill expired October 1, and the new bill has been stuck in a House/Senate conference committee as  lawmakers try to hash out the differences between the Republican’s House bill and the bi-partisan Senate bill.
