Box after box.
Pallet after pallet.
Truck after truck.
Once again, the Valley’s generosity did not disappoint in this year’s KSEE24 Turkey Drive.
The total this year? A whopping 1300 turkeys for Catholic Charities.
“Amazing amazing community support that’s just going to mean the world to our families tomorrow when we distribute them,” said Catholic Charities’ Ashlee Wolf.
As usual, Table Mountain Casino provided a large percentage of that haul, donating hundreds of turkeys, spread out over multiple deliveries throughout the day.
Other organizations also stepped up, and so did our viewers, driving up to the KSEE parking lot and dropping off their donation.
“I think it’s important to help those less fortunate and to give back to our community because they do a lot for us as kids,” said one volunteer, “so it’s good to give back.”
These gifts will find their holiday homes almost immediately. Hundreds will line up early Wednesday morning at Catholic Charities in downtown Fresno for a turkey and all the fixings.
Wolf says the food is handed out starting at 8am.
“It does go very quickly, so if your family is in need, I encourage you to come out early and get in line, and we’re just happy to provide you and your family a holiday meal.”
Catholic Charities is at 149 N. Fulton Street.
