Madera police find suspected drunk driver sleeping in damaged car

KSEE Sunrise

Madera police need your help. Just a few hours ago, police found a car parked near the train tracks at Granada Drive and Pecan Ave.
It had fresh damage on the passenger side and the side airbags were deployed.

Officers say they found Marco Altamirano passed out behind the wheel with the engine running. They say when when they woke him up, he was unaware of where the damage happened. Police say his blood alcohol content was double the legal limit.

If you saw a hit and run collision involving a white four door vehicle last night, please contact Madera police.
