K9 recovering well after he was shot by a detective


VISALIA, California – The Tulare County Sheriff’s K9 who was shot by a detective after the K9 mistook him for a suspect is on the road to recovery, according to Sheriff Mike Boudreaux.

Sheriff Boudreaux made the announcement on Wednesday, one day after the shooting incident in Tulare. K-9 Jack underwent surgery at the Companion Animal Clinic in Visalia and remains on antibiotics while he continues to get better.

The Sheriff’s Office says he could be back home by Tuesday.
