Infamous car thief caught in downtown Fresno on Fulton Street, police say

An infamous Fresno-area car thief was arrested Friday morning after he was reportedly seen driving through downtown Fresno in a stolen car.

At around 10 a.m., Fresno Police officers spotted Ryan Lecour, 42, driving a car he allegedly stole in the area of Kern Street and Pottle Avenue the day before. 

Officers pulled Lecour over near Fulton and Merced streets, along with 33-year-old Margarita Valenzuela. They were safely taken into custody and booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The car was returned to the owner, police confirm.
