Hustler Hollywood employee attacked after stopping attempted robbery, police say

A Fresno clerk was violently attacked after he stopped a man from stealing merchandise at an adult store.

It happened Feb 12 at around 10 p.m. at Hustler Hollywood on Shaw.

Cameras caught the confrontation. Video shows a man landing punch after punch on a store employee.

Police said it started when three suspects walked in.

“Two females started selecting a bunch of clothing, they went to the register. They used a card that was declined for insufficient funds,” Lt. Mark Hudson with the Fresno Police Department said Tuesday.

Authorities said the third suspect, a Hispanic man, grabbed the bag of merchandise and ran.

“A store clerk follows him out, and that’s when the Hispanic male suspect punches him in the face, multiple times,” Hudson said.

The brawl took place right in front of the business.

“You see two people fighting out front, you’re like ‘Whoa, what’s going on here?’ It’s madness,” Josh Behrens a witness said.

Police said a crime of this nature is uncommon at this location.

“They may have been victims of thefts before, I don’t know, but this is not really a store that’s on our radar,” Hudson said.

According to police the suspects arrived in a white Nissan Maxima, license plate 8GAD615. He said they are wanted for attempted robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department.
