Huge Fire At Paul Evert’s RV Country In Fresno County

A large contingent of fire crews are battling a major fire at Paul Evert’s RV Country on the 3600 block of Maple just off Highway 99.  The inferno is clearly visible to travelers on the highway, and is causing travel slowdowns.  Power went out to the dealership shortly before 7PM forcing emergency workers to battle the flames with little available light.  RV’s were being moved away from fire as crews worked to douse the flames. Cal Fire, Fresno County Fire, and Selma Fire are all on the scene. Cal Fire says at this time it is a two alarm fire. An aerial ladder fire hose was being used to try to fight the flames from above.    Employee Rod Ploeckelman says the involved building is the rear chassis and PDI shop that is also used for parts storage. Ploeckelman believes it may have started in the chassis shop where there are reportedly drums of oil stored. Ploeckelman says his major concern is for the employees who may be put out of work by the inferno.  The fire appears to be mostly contained.
