House Judiciary Chairs threatens Barr with contempt of Congress

Today, the House Judiciary Chair is threatening to hold the Attorney General in contempt of Congress while President trump says he might block members of his administration from testifying to congressional committees.

The house judiciary committee is now negotiating directly with representatives for Robert Mueller, bypassing the justice department after a series of roadblocks and signals of more to come.

President Trump was on Fox News…renewing his threat to block former White House Counsel Don McGahn – a key source for the Mueller report – from testifying to Congress. The president’s threat follows a contentious day in which Attorney General Bill Barr was a no-show at a judiciary committee hearing.

The Speaker of the House accused Barr of lying in earlier congressional testimony.
