Several homes are flooded in Fresno County after a canal overflowed in the area of Locan and Dakota. Several acres are swamped. Jayson Zarcone says he heard a gurgling sound around 3:30 this morning and discovered his house was under several feet of water. Ed Hopkins tells us his 3 acres are underwater. His horses, chickens, and mini donkey all have to be moved to higher ground. His barn, stables are underwater. His wife, Karen, says they’ve lost a ton of hay and grain. The Hopkins’ blame construction. Ed says pumps were put in place to divert the canal water from the construction on Locan, but apparently the pumps did not come on.
