Eleven people with ties to the Hells Angels motorcycle club, have been indicted by a federal grand jury.
Throughout the three year investigation, federal agents have made nine arrests of Hells Angels associates- at least one of the arrests was made in Fresno.
In addition to the arrests, officials have conducted searches in more than a dozen different locations, including Fresno. In those searches motorcycles, weapons and drugs have been seized by investigators– and even clothing they believe may have human blood on it.
Four of the defendants–Brian Wendt, Jonathan Nelson, Russell Ot and Christopher Ranieri face murder conspiracy charges in connection with a July 2014 killing in Fresno. Prosecutors say Wendt committed the murder after the other three defendants directed the person to the Fresno Hells Angels clubhouse. The victim’s name is not being released.
Federal investigators say these crimes happened throughout California. Investigators say their goal is to dissect and dismantle this chapter of the Hells Angels biker gang that was intimidating victims.
