Hanford Police have arrested a man they say molested a now 11-year child over the course of two years.
39-year old Shawn Michael Hedden was taken into custody on multiple counts of child molestation.

On November 24th, Hanford Officers responded to a report of possible child molestation.  The alleged victim reported to her mother that her stepfather, Shawn Hedden,  had been sexually molesting her for approximately two years.

Detectives were called in and took over the investigation. The Kings County District Attorney’s Office became involved in the investigation, along with Kings County Child Protective Services.

Information obtained from interviews, as well as from the mother of the child involved,,reportedly confirmed that the molestation had taken place, with the last instance being less than a week ago. On Sunday, Hedden turned himself into police and was later booked into the Kings County Jail on multiple Child Molestation crimes.
