Gunshot victim drives herself to the hospital, police say

Fresno Police are on the lookout for the shooter responsible for causing a woman to rush herself to the hospital Sunday night.

Lt. Steve Card said the incident happened outside of a home by Diamond Street and McKenzie Avenue around 10:30 p.m. The 28-year-old victim was sitting in her own car with another man, when the suspect walked up and started shooting at the car.

The victim drove herself to Community Regional Medical Center’s emergency room immediately after. She is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect is described to be an African-American man in his late teens. His build is said to be slender build, and he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and white pants.

Motive is still under investigation and witnesses were still being interviewed hours after the shooting.
