Greyhound bus driver charged with felony DUI

The Fresno County District Attorney announced Ashton Rennick Castillo 28, of Los Angeles, has been charged today in a Felony Complaint with driving under the influence of a drug causing injury. 

The Greyhound bus he was driving crashed Sunday at Highway 99 and 180 in Fresno. One person was treated and released. 
The Complaint, filed in the Fresno County Superior Court today, alleges the crimes of:

1.) Driving Under the Influence of a Drug Causing Injury [V.C. § 23153(f)-felony]; and

2.) Driving When Privilege Suspended or Revoked [V.C. § 14601.1(a)-misdemeanor].

Also charged in the Complaint are three (3) allegations that Mr. Castillo caused injury to more than one victim [V.C. § 23558].

If convicted of the charges and special allegations, the defendant faces a sentence of up to six 6 years. 

Mr. Castillo was arrested on Sunday morning and remains in custody at the Fresno County Jail.
