Friends remember mother of 4 killed last week

News

Friends of Selena Lopez, a mother of four children, are raising money to help them after their mother was killed in a possible domestic dispute last week.

“I just couldn’t believe it. It was just a sad and tragic thing to hear,” Adriana Guillen said.

On Saturday, Guillen with a group of other woman were on the corner of Shaw and Fresno raising money for Lopez’s children.

“They’re working on getting cribs and beds. They need bedding and diapers and clothes.” Guillen said.

Last week, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Newman and Huntsman near Parlier, where they found  Lopez suffering from a gunshot and another man injured in a vehicle with four small children and another woman, who were not hurt.

Investigator said Lopez was trying to leave the area after she got into a domestic dispute with another man, identified as Daniel Hernandez. A motive hasn’t been released.

“Those babies went through something they never should have gone through,” Melissa Johnson said.a

A GoFund Me page has been sent up for Lopez.
