Fresno woman arrested for stealing over $110,000 from prospective buyers in real estate scam

Fresno woman was arrested for stealing over $110,000 from prospective buyers in a real estate scam. Police said the suspect preyed upon undocumented citizens.

Parlier Police said they arrested 39-year-old Maria Teresa Flores-Morales. Detectives said the suspect was telling victims she would help them purchase a house. 

She allegedly was locating homes which were in pre-foreclosure and showed victims the outside of the house, while the house was still occupied. 

Parlier police said she would tell the victim she would purchase the home who in turn would give her a down payment.

The thefts occurred between September 2017 to February 2019.
