Fresno State football fans call season a ‘dream come true’

Bulldog Nation continues to stand stronger than ever. Many fans who have stuck with the team predict the current state of the Red Wave is going to stay for years to come.

Fans roared as the Fresno State football team began to shake hands with one of their rivals, the San Jose State Spartans. The victory marked the 6th straight win at home, 10th win overall. Making the team undefeated at all home games for the 2018 season.

The fan showing took a little bit to build up, but a considerable crowd did fill the stands. Meanwhile, just down the street, fans showing they’re not just buying tickets. The manager at the Bulldog Shop said sales have noticeably been up this season.

Alex Sanchez and his family are longtime fans. After the round of rough seasons back-to-back, he said it’s been a dream to witness this season.

“We were here when they won in 2013, we’ve had seats for awhile. It’s great to see them back on top after seeing them [in] the tough years,” Sanchez said.

Ruth and Russ Martin remember those years very well, too. They hope this season’s impressive showing will convert any bandwagoner that’s jumped in this season, into die-hard fans like themselves.

“People will come to the games for sure. After this, and especially if we beat Boise,” Ruth Martin said.

Fresno State will have their rematch against Boise State next Saturday, Dec. 1, for the Mountain West Championship.
