Fresno police arrest a man armed with a gun at city park

Fresno police arrested a man this morning who they say was armed with gun at a park.

Officers were patrolling Frank H. Ball park around 2:45 this morning when they spotted a suspicious car parked on the west side of the park. One of the officers spoke to the driver and says he told them he had a loaded gun. Officers searched the car and say they found a loaded handgun under the front passenger seat.

Police arrested Gabriel Montemayor for various firearm related offenses and took him to jail.
