Fresno man seeking to replace Rep. Nunes formally launches campaign

So far, three have announced they're running to unseat Nunes

A Democrat looking to unseat Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Tulare, officially launched his campaign Saturday afternoon.

Dary Rezvani spoke before a gathering at Oval Park in Visalia, sharing his family’s immigration from Iran and bringing up his concern about the country’s current trajectory.

In an interview on Sunday Morning Matters in June when he first filed to run, Rezvani said the last election showed Nunes is vulnerable. This is his first jab at politics.

Rezvani is among three Democrats so far looking to replace Nunes next year in November. He’s joined by Phil Arballo and Bobby Bliatou, who also tried to run against Nunes in 2018.

To face Nunes, Rezvani would have to win the upcoming primary election in March.
