“They see the communities that it’s affecting and the impact that it’s having, and they’re ready to get out there and do what they can to help protect those communities,” Fresno Fire Department Public Information Officer Robert Castillo said.
More than two dozen firefighters from Fresno alone, some helping on the Camp Fire, 10 headed south, Sunday.
“We’re sending two additional engines, and part of a local government strike team, as well as some overhead assignment down there,” Castillo said.
Along with personnel from other city departments around the valley, too.
