FRESNO, California – Fresno Fire crews responded to a house fire in the area of San Pablo and Thomas Friday morning.

At one point, flames were shooting out of the roof.

“We had pretty significant hazards. the power line in the back was pinched by flames and the cooling system on the top of the roof was falling down on the firefighter when we arrived,” said Captain William Veiga with the Fresno Fire Department.”

Firefighters said the house was boarded up and vacant.

Investigators are calling it arson.

They say evidence shows the fire was intentionally set outside the house.
