Fresno couple and 10-year-old stranded in snow overnight have been rescued

News

The Fresno county sheriff’s along with the California Highway Patrol rescued a couple and a 10-year-old boy after an overnight stay in their Jeep. Late Sunday night, the Fresno county sheriff’s department received a call from a couple and a 10-year-old boy, saying they were stuck in their Jeep after a tree blocked the road.

A Sheriff’s spokesman said they were stranded near McKinley Grove Road and Ross Crossing Road in the Shaver Lake area. Due to harsh weather conditions, search and rescue crews were unable to get to them last night, but began a search and rescue operation this morning. The CHP helicopter was able to locate them and fly them out safely.
