A Husky, displaced during the Goose Fire, has been reunited with her owner, thanks to two Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Sunday afternoon, Deputies Doug Richardson and Todd Talent responded to an area of Lodge Road, in Prather, for an animal rescue.
They were told that a dog was left behind when residents evacuated.
After several hours of searching, the deputies found Kiya covered in the red fire retardant.
The Husky, who is nearly blind, was not injured.
The deputies loaded her into their truck and drove her to the small animal shelter at Foothill Middle School, where she was cleaned up and reunited with her owner.
