A man was found dead inside a burned trailer by farmworkers Saturday morning in Fresno County, according to the sheriff’s office.

When arriving to work at around 5:22 a.m. in the area of Belmont and Trinity avenues, the men found a burned trailer on the property, according to Lt. Shawn Erwin with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

The men inspected the trailer and found a body inside. Identification of the body is pending autopsy, Erwin says.

It is unknown why the fire started, but he says the fire self-extinguished by time fire officials arrived on scene.

Erwin says there are no signs of foul play.
