Free mammograms Monday in Parlier

A mobile program is traveling around the Valley to provide free mammograms to those who may be at a higher risk for breast cancer.

Susan G. Komen Northern and Central California along with other partners including Life Saving Images are providing free mammograms through a mobile clinic.

The goal is to reduce breast cancer deaths by 50% over the next 20 years.

On Monday, October 23, the unit will be in Parlier at United Health Centers on Zediker Avenue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other areas the mobile unit will visit at a later date include: Mendota, Huron and Orange Cove.

To qualify, you must be over 40 years old, have not had a mammogram within the past year, have a primary care provider and qualify for Every Woman Counts or MediCal.
