Four-year-old girl battling cancer surprised with brand new playset


On Saturday there was a special surprise for a Madera 4-year-old named Mia who is battling cancer.

Volunteers from the nonprofit Roc Solid Foundation and Wienerschnitzel built her a playset in her yard.

“She just wants to play and just wants to have fun and you know, what kids want to do and you know and cancer, unfortunately, takes that away from them and we are here to give it back,” said Roc Solid Foundation Program Coordinator Unique Pierre.

While volunteers built the playset, Mia and her family were picked up by a limo and taken to breakfast then out for an activity of Mia’s choice.
