Fresno Police are searching for four suspects who assaulted and robbed a food vendor in Southeast Fresno.

Police were dispatched to the area of Sierra Vista and Yale just after 1:30 p.m. for a victim of a robbery.

Police say four black men pulled up in front of the man and his cart and demanded money.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. Police say they pinned the victim to the ground and went through his pockets. They stole his cellphone and immigration papers.

Police say the suspects didn’t take any cash because the victim had his cash stored in his socks.

The suspects then struck the man in the head with their gun and drove off.

The victim was sent to the hospital, with a laceration to his forehead.

Police say the suspects were in a light brown sedan. They are considered armed and dangerous.
