The Fresno Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out tonight at a vacant home.
The fire broke out on the 3300 block of N Fordham Ave, which is near Shields and Fowler.
Officials are calling the fire suspicious. The home was vacant and they say there were reports of homeless people breaking in.
Fire crews say it appears the flames started in the garage and then spread into the living space and attic. About 15 firefighters were able to arrive in about 5 minutes and were able to quickly knock it down.
No injuries have been reported.
Fire crews say it’s important for people to monitor vacant homes, secure them with alarm systems to prevent break-ins.
