Driver rescued from crashed rental truck after flying off Highway 99 in Livingston

LIVINGSTON, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver had to be extricated from his rental truck after it flew off Highway 99 and landed below onto a road in Livingston Friday morning, Merced County Fire said.

Emergency crews. crews responded to the collision around 3:32 a.m. and saw the vehicle on Collier Road with its occupant pinned in.

The driver was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment after they were able to be pulled out by rescuers.

Merced County Fire reported three engines, a rescue unit and a battalion chief had responded to the crash.
