Donald Trump arrived at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport a little later than expected. Through a fence, people were able to see him but he also waved at his supporters as he headed to Tulare.
Just before noon Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s blue, red and white airplane landed at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. His supporters were excited to see the big plane with his name across.
“I wanted to see the next president of the United States. I’ve never seen one up close and in person and even though he’s not there yet I’m sure he’s gonna be, so I’m gonna play ahead of the game a little bit,” Tom Hunseder said.
Several people stood on the other side of the fence and watched as Trump exited his airplane and went right into a vehicle, then left the airport in a motorcade.
“I was actually able to see him come by and give us a thumbs up out the window of his Suburban so it was pretty neat,” Hunseder said.
Charles Glick said “It was a priviledge and I’m glad he acknowledged me. He gave me a thumbs up and he’s a good guy I think.”
Trump headed to Tulare for a private fundraiser but the gathering was private. People believed he would be talking with farmers about water issues
“I think the focus here in the valley especially with the farmers is really big for them, getting the crops back on… and how well the Valley does, I think it’s a big deal,” Dan Roth said.
About two hours later, Trump arrived at the airport in Fresno, once again waved to his supporters who were hoping to see him. He then got into his plane and left the Central Valley.
A few people drove by and yelled they do not support Trump but there weren’t any protesters out at the airport.
