Detectives arrest Three Rocks homicide suspect


THREE ROCKS, California – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested 53-year-old Jose Rangel of Three Rocks for the murder of 33-year-old Augustine Alvarado Trujillo.

Deputies said on June 17th, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a shooting that had occurred on a piece of property at the southwest corner of S. Derrick and W. Clarkson Avenues in Three Rocks.

Detectives said they determined that Jose Rangel, who is known to stay in the area, was responsible for the shooting.

A citizen made a report to the Sheriff’s Office saying they saw a man resembling Jose Rangel near their home in Three Rocks.

While deputies were searching an orchard in Three Rocks, they found a man who appeared to be hiding in a tree.

Deputies said they determined it was Rangel and they were able to take him into custody without any issues.

He is scheduled to be booked into the Fresno County Jail and face a charge of murder
