Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for an armed robbery suspect near Central Ave and S Cherry Ave.

Deputies said the suspect entered the Cherry Market around 10 a.m and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the store clerk then demanded money and cigarettes.

The clerk complied, and the suspect fled to his awaiting vehicle.

Deputies say the suspect is described as a male wearing a dark flannel with a hood, blue jeans, and tan colored boots. The suspect covered his face with a piece of clothing or cloth.

Officials say the suspect vehicle is an older model white 2-door GMC Jimmy or Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with a  black stripe or molding along the side, as well as on the rear of the vehicle.

The suspect is still outstanding and is possibly still armed.
