Woman stabs her significant other after an argument, police say

A woman is behind bars after Visalia Police say she stabbed her significant other after an argument.

At around 1:23 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of North Manzanita Street regarding a stabbing. Officers learned an argument had taken place when Kimberly Escarsega stabbed her significant other in the back with an unknown object.

The stab wound was non-life threatening and the victim refused medical treatment, police say.

Escarsega was taken into custody and booked at Tulare County Pre Trial Facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence.
