Police are searching for a suspect Friday after two women got into an argument in a southeast Fresno parking lot, and then one of them ran down the other with her car, the Fresno Police Department said.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. in a parking lot near California Avenue and MLK Jr Boulevard.

The women were arguing near a shopping center.

Eventually, one of the women hit the other with her vehicle and fled the scene, police said.

The victim hit the hood of the car and then fell to the ground where she hit her head.

She was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. She suffered head injuries, but they weren’t life-threatening, police said.

Police are looking for a white, 4-door Chevrolet Impala or similar compact vehicle driven by an African-American woman in her 20s.

Detectives were at the scene canvassing the stores for surveillance video.

No other information was immediately available.
