A Visalia Police officer was arrested Sunday on suspicion of domestic violence, the department announced Thursday.
In the early morning hours of Feb. 10, the department was contacted by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the alleged victim, regarding a domestic violence call.
The suspect, Jarrett Dunham, is a confirmed Visalia Police officer who was on administrative leave during the reported incident of domestic violence.
It is unknown why Dunham was initially placed on leave.
He was contacted by Visalia Police officials and ordered to turn himself in. He was soon arrested and booked at the Tulare County Jail.
Dunham will remain on leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation, and also faces potential criminal charges related to the Madera County incident, according to the department.
