Visalia Police arrest two people on suspicion of attempted murder

The Visalia Police Department is investigating an attempted murder after two suspects are accused of chasing after and shooting at an occupied car.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the area of Houston Avenue and Mooney Boulevard, according to a department news release.

The victims said they were being chased by Gustavo Rubio, 19, and Priscilla Charris, 35. Charris was the passenger and allegedly shot several rounds at the victim’s car.

No shots struck the victims and/or their car.

Both suspects were found in the 1500 block of North Mooney Boulevard and were arrested. They were booked for attempted murder and shooting at an occupied vehicle.

The gun that was used has not been found, police say.
