Authorities are asking for help locating a truck believed to be involved in a deadly hit-and-run collision earlier this month, the Madera Police Department said Thursday.

On May 12, a man was hit and killed at the intersection of D Street and Cleveland Avenue.

He was identified as Rutilio Reyes, 69, who lived in the area.

After striking Reyes, the vehicle fled the scene west on Cleveland Avenue.

The Police Department identified the suspect vehicle and believe it to be a newer model Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra, dark metallic blue/grey in color.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or suspect vehicle should call Detective Rosel at 559-675-4243.
