Two teens were arrested in a homicide that happened in August, the Fresno Police Department said Thursday.
On Aug. 24 12:38 a.m., Fresno Police dispatch received a 911 call of a gunshot victim at 4210 W. Fountain Way. The caller, who identified himself as the victim’s brother, said he heard several gunshots prior to going outside with his family.
They found Wenshil “Brandon” Saechao, 19, laying on the ground bleeding and not breathing.
Officers arrived and located Saechao lying near the sidewalk.
He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and officers and EMS personnel administered life-saving measures before transporting him to Community Regional Medical Center.
However, Saechao was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Homicide detectives identified Kyrone Jaray Haygood, 19, and a 17-year-old as being responsible for Saechao’s death.
Detectives also learned that a robbery occurred during the shooting. During the robbery, the juvenile was also struck by friendly gunfire and was seriously injured.
Haygood was charged with murder and robbery. He was being held in the Fresno County Jail for a probation violation, the Police Department said.
The juvenile was arrested on charges of murder and robbery and was transported to Juvenile Hall. The 17-year-old was not identified due to being a juvenile.
