Two people wanted in connection to Fresno County’s first homicide of 2019

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help to identity two people of interest in connection to the dealth of a southern California man.

Matthew Tidwell’s body was found Jan. 9 at Herndon and Dower avenues early in the morning in Fresno County.

His death was the first homicide in Fresno County at the start of the new year.

At first, his death was being investigated as a hit-and-run, but California Highway Patrol officers found a gunshot wound on his body.

The people of interest, the sheriff’s office says, are a man and woman.
