Two Fresno gang members arrested on several felony offences, police say

Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon in southeast Fresno after leading officers on a foot case, and are accused of several weapon-related charges.

At around 4:54 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of Garden and Olive avenues due to a recent increase in violent crimes in the area, a news release says.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, 30-year-old Terrell Cobb, stopped immediately.

The passenger, 19-year-old Donovan Kelley, quickly exited and fled the scene, police say.

After a short foot pursuit, Kelley was taken into custody and was later found to have possessed a stolen, loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Cobb, who remained with the vehicle, was found to be on parole for a felony offense.

Police say Cobb and Kelley are confirmed Pleasant Street Gang members.

The men were both arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of several felony offenses.
