Two arrested in Fresno narcotics bust and gun seizure

Drugs and guns were seized from a home near Fresno’s Tower District.

The Fresno Police Department’s Major Narcotics Unit raided a home on the 1300 block of North Glenn Avenue.

While police aren’t saying what led them there, we do know this bust comes after a month-long investigation.

“They just come and go,” said neighbor, Agustina Cano.

Neighbors say more and more people have been coming through.

“There would be cars, people walking up, people riding bikes, skateboards,” Cano said.

On Thursday, a search warrant was served. In the front yard, detectives placed 12 rifles they seized. One of them was an illegal shotgun with a short barrel. At least four grams of meth was also confiscated.

“Along with that, was packaging scales and packaging material to indicate the sale of meth,” said Lt. Mark Hudson.

Detectives believe meth was being sold from the home.

Jammie Dwayne Wilson, 44, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of a controlled substance while armed. Cheyanna Lightfoot, 26, was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

A child was inside the home adding a child cruelty charge for the duo.

“Obviously, a  5-year-old child being in the house, being around this illegal substance is very dangerous along with the weapons that were seized,” Lt. Hudson said.

The 5-year-old was placed with Child Protective Services. Police are looking into whether the guns are stolen or if they are illegal.
