Police in Tulare seized 10 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Saturday.
A Tulare police officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation near Highway 99 and Paige Avenue.
The driver was unlicensed and not from the area, police said.
The officer had a suspicion that there was more to it than a routine traffic stop and requested the assistance of Cpl. Dan Scott and his K9 partner Loki.
Loki and Scott conducted a search on the vehicle and located about 10 pounds of methamphetamine, police said.
The Police Department said its officers routinely investigate crimes and encounter individuals from Northern and Southern California committing crimes while passing through Tulare.
