The search is on for a man suspected of shooting his wife in the shoulder Wednesday afternoon.

At around 4:30 p.m., deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic violence incident in the 1100 block of south Farmersville Bloulevard in Farmersville

The suspect, Randy Scroggins, 43, reportedly ran off to a nearby orchard, fleeing the scene before deputies arrived.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office helicopter assisted deputies with the search for Scroggins. He wasn’t found in any orchards around the home.

The search for him is ongoing.

If anyone has seen Scroggins or knows of his whereabouts, they’re asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
