Three brothers are now in custody in connection to a murder that happed four months ago on Mother’s Day.

On the morning of May 13th, police responded to this home near Madison and Chestnut Avenues for a call of shots fired.

Police said a car pulled in front of the home and there was some sort of dispute between the suspects and someone at the home,
that’s when shots were fired from both ends.

47- year old Luis Mariscal was inside the residence.
He was hit by a bullet and rushed to the hospital where he died 10 days later from his injuries.

“there were multiple witnesses giving different accounts what they observed or what they perceived out there at the location and so piecing all that together took us quite some time,” said Sgt Larry Bowlan with Fresno Police.

Police arrested 19 year old Everardo Valenton Wednesday morning at his job, Mid-valley disposal.

His brother, Jose Valenton, 20, was arrested a few hours later in his home..

The third brother Eduardo Valenton who is 21 years old was already in custody for probation violation.

Murder charges were added.

“It is very fortunate you know that we are able to take them all into custody basically on the same day and give some resolution to the vitctim’s family,” Bowlan added.
