Three teens were arrested for shooting a man multiple times, ultimately killing him in Visalia Wednesday night.
Police say it happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of East Laurel Avenue, when witnesses found a man suffering from multiple gunshots wounds.
He was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he died, police say. His identity has not been released.
An investigation shows three suspects, all 16 years old, were driving a black Chevrolet Colorado with chrome rims. The car was found near Plaza Drive and Highway 198 by officers.
They were stopped with the help of the Tulare County Sheriffs Office. The driver was immediately detained while two others fled on foot, police say.
One was apprehended with the assistance of a Visalia Police Department K-9, while the second was able to flee, but later found contacted with a loaded firearm in an unrelated traffic stop by officers from the California Highway Patrol.
This homicide is believed to be gang-related, and all three suspects were booked at Tulare County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of homicide and gang enhancement.
