An exclusive video shows an attempted stabbing suspect who was shot at by his victims, being captured and medically evaluated Thursday.

The incident happened at Kearney Center on Fresno and A streets, off of Kearney Boulevard, according to Lt. Bill Dooley with the Fresno Police Department.

Upon reviewing surveillance footage, Dooley says the man attempted to attack two women inside the store, when one woman pulled out a gun and shot at him several times, following him out of the store.

Dooley says it’s too soon to tell if it was an act of self defense, but the woman who shot is cooperating with the investigation. It is unknown if she has concealed weapons permit.

The man who was shot at, who is also the alleged attacker, was found a short distance later Dooley says he was not hit by the rounds shot at him, but he did have a cut on his hand.
