Student at Lemoore school arrested with gun, police say

LEMOORE, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A student was arrested with an unloaded firearm at a school in Lemoore on Monday, the Lemoore Police Department said.

Around 8:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to Lemoore Middle College High School located on the West Hills College campus regarding a student who was possibly in possession of a firearm, police said.

Officers arrived and contacted the juvenile, and an unloaded firearm was located in the juvenile’s backpack, police said.

The juvenile was taken into custody without incident.
